Barry Klarberg is an accomplished business leader and CPA. Klarberg established a name for himself through several endeavors, including wealth management for athletes, entertainers and other notable individuals. He is the founder and CEO of the full-service firm Monarch Business and Wealth Management, which provides business and wealth management services. In addition, Klarberg holds ownership stakes in sports franchises including the New York Yankees and New York City FC.

A graduate of Pace University, Klarberg earned his BBA (1981) and MS in Taxation (1985) before serving as an Adjunct Professor of Taxation at the university from 1985-1989. Upon earning his BBA, Klarberg launched his career at Deloitte–with an 11-year stint that included serving as the National Director of Sports and Entertainment. After Deloitte, Klarberg formed the professional wealth management service KRT Business Management. Prior to founding Monarch Klarberg joined Guggenheim Partners, serving as its Senior Managing Director of wealth services.

Since founding Monarch Business & Wealth Management, the firm has grown to serve high-profile personalities from several sectors. In short time, prominent equity firms and banks took notice and made key investments in the thriving firm.

In 2011, Klarberg furthered his influence in the sporting world, becoming a Limited Partner of the New York Yankees. The following year saw Klarberg join the ownership of the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. Then in 2013, joining the growing sport movement in the U.S., Klarberg became an owner of Major League Soccer’s new franchise, New York City FC.

In 2016, Klarberg was involved in shaping Tom Brady’s new Beautyrest Black luxury mattress ad campaign, aiding Jeff Willard’s marketing team in pitching an appropriate ad campaign to the three-time Super Bowl MVP. 

Barry Klarberg’s business acumen has made him a sought out name in the industry, regularly appearing as a guest on CNN, CNBC and The Wall Street Journal Report. Some of his many career accolades include writing the book Winning Tax Strategies and Planning for Athletes and Entertainers, as well as making Sports Business Journal‘s “Forty Under 40” list of influential sports executives under 40 years old.
